Adding a link to selected items in a list

We added a nifty little feature to Insightly recently - the ability to add a link to selected items in a list. This helps if you have to add a new link to a whole bunch of contacts, opportunities, projects or organizations.

First - in the list view, select the items you want to add the link to by clicking the check box to the left of the corresponding item name. The items will be highlighted in yellow, and a small blue 'Selected Items' box will pop up at the top of the list. This works for contacts, organizations, opportunities and projects. Illustrated below in red:

The last step is to click on the 'Add Link' hyperlink in the blue section, then to search for the item you wish to link to, and finally click on the 'Add This Link' button to add a new link between the item you searched for and all the selected items. You can define a role and details for the link too if you wish - just as you would do if you were linking each one separately.

  1. And why don't you do the same with the emails list?
I've added a lot of emails to Insightly and the most logical thing would be to have all them linked to the corresponding project or opportunity.

  2. I totally agree with Pablo. Linking an email to an opportunity or a project would be great

  3. I agree with all above. I'm a new user and naturally expected that piece of functionality and emails are the core of our communications. It is easily possible that emails from the same sender relate to one or more projects.

  5. Any updates on when the feature the three gentleman above suggested would become available?
